If you’ve ever frantically searched the yellow pages or a search engine,
looking for a particular service or product, you know how important
location is. As consumers, we often just automatically call a business when we
know it’s close to where we live or work. So what if consumers are passing your
business by because they know your location isn’t close to them?
You might be the owner of a business that ships your product or service all
over the state, country, or even world. If you don’t have a toll-free phone
number, you could be drastically limiting the amount of responses you’re getting
from valuable potential customers. They might not realize that you ship anywhere
and everywhere, and only contact businesses close to home.
If your business advertises a toll-free number, your potential customers will
not know where you are located, and will at least make an initial phone
call. Once you get them on the line, all you have to do is close the deal.
Basically, when people see a toll free number, geographical location doesn’t
matter. In fact, some could argue that boasting a toll free number automatically
makes the whole issue of location disappear. As long as you can get the product
or service you desire, you don’t really need to know where you’re calling. Toll
free numbers help your company appear professional, ready for business and
accomodating to all customers. |
