Small Business Opportunity: Enter To Win National Award

Small business owners can be recognized for employer innovation in promoting workforce wellness

Do you have a wellness program in place that encourages employees to be healthy? Have you implemented innovative programs that help workers lose weight, become active, or lead a less stressful life?

There are thousands of health-conscience employers out there who try to not only see a profitable bottom line, but also to have healthy and happy workers. If you are one of those small business owners, then you might qualify to enter a recognition program that honors your efforts.

ComPsych Corporation recently announced a call for entries for the fourth annual Health at Work Award, honoring organizations who have demonstrated commitment to promoting health and wellness for their employees. ComPsych Corporation is a provider of employee assistance programs and an authority in GuidanceResources (EAPs, behavioral health, wellness, work-life and crisis intervention services).

If you are interested in getting recognition for all your hard efforts, here are the categories of organizations that will be considered:

  • Less than 100 employees
  • 101-2,500 employees
  • 2,501-10,000 employees
  • More than 10,000 employees

Wellness programs will be judged on their innovation in delivery and promotion as well as participation levels and results achieved. Winners will be awarded a statuette or certificate of achievement for excellence in wellness programs, and will be promoted in ComPsych publications as well as through an announcement to the general media.

The deadline for entry is July 31, 2008, and there is no entry fee. Winners of the contest will be announced August 29, 2008. To obtain an entry form, send a request via e-mail to Jennifer Hudson at jhudson@compsych.com.
